
Financial Manager | Cape Town
- Oversee and review reconciliations and monthly accounting processes.
- Compile management reports and perform financial analysis.
- Manage cashflow, investments, and approve payments and collections.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of control accounts, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Handle VAT and Income Tax calculations and returns.
- Prepare statutory and regulatory returns (FSCA, Prudential Authority, Reserve Bank, SARS, NAMFISA).
- Compile annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Provide financial insights to Regional Managers.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Resolve discrepancies and long-outstanding items in balance sheet reconciliations.
- Drive improvements in systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Address ad hoc financial queries as needed.
- CA (SA) qualification with 2 years’ post-article experience.
- Experience in the Financial Services or Short-Term Insurance industry is an advantage.
- Strong technical skills with solid IFRS knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
- Experience with accounting packages like Great Plains, SAP, or Accpac is beneficial.
