
Broker Consultant | IFA’s | Durban
Purpose of this role:
Responsible for providing sales support the Business Development Managers with the ultimate aim of assisting them identifying and establishing relationships with IFAs as well as the internal distribution force as well as to develop and maintain a panel of Financial Advisers and to grow their assets.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Matric
- Bachelor Degree
Knowledge and skills:
- Solid understanding of the Retail Investment business
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Proven “selling skills”
- Superior communication skills
- Advanced level Excel and PowerPoint.
Business understanding:
- Basic understanding of the Financial Services industry

Key performance areas:
- Assist with new broking contracts - Check Paperwork. Liaise with Brokers and Compliance
- Request relevant information when needed - Fica, check application forms, send documents in for Financial Crime Control Screening
- Follow Up on Section 14 Switches, Change of Advisor, CGT Calculations, Contacting the Transferring Administrator, FCC screening
- Contacting the potential client employer for ROT01 and ROT02, following up with Admin that ROT is processed and sent back to employer, creating tasks on CRM
- Beneficiary Nominations, Switches, Withdrawals, send out fund fact sheets, IFA AUM
- Update of advisory details/client records and General queries - Application forms, Fund fact sheets,
- Update and Maintain IFA/FPC Contract Spreadsheets
- Operational Report – Consolidation
- IFA Report Spreadsheet
- Update and Maintain IFA/FPC New business spreadsheet
- Generate quotes, attach Fund fact sheets and Application forms
- Maintaining relationships with IFA’s - calling to follow up on quotes, respond to client/IFA calls.
- Arranging meetings, Booking Training courses
- Booking flights and accommodation
- Arrange client events
