
Actuarial Analyst | Life Products | Fourways
Role Purpose:
An opportunity exists within our clients actuarial valuations team that focuses on individual life products for the Life segment.
The successful candidate will form part of a team of actuarial analysts tasked with performing the valuation of a portfolio of products for IFRS, Embedded Value, Regulatory and Capital reporting.
The role will have a key focus on the production, analysis and reporting of financial results of the various Life products.
The Corporate Actuarial team comprises of a good blend of experience and youth, with a focus on development and knowledge share. An actuarial degree or equivalent.
Good progress with the CT series subjects of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (or equivalent body) with at least 4 exemptions.
0 - 3 years of minimum relevant experience required.
Previous experience in the Corporate Actuarial valuations environment will be an advantage.
Intermediate SQL knowledge will be an advantage, although not essential.
Duties and Responsibilities Production and reporting of the quarterly liability, earnings and Embedded Value valuations, including analysis of change, cash flow projections, forecasts and sensitivities for both IFRS and SAM reporting.

Production and reporting of the quarterly capital requirements on SAM and other regulatory bases, e.g. CAR for other African entities
Ensure that the parameters used in the valuation are accurate and the results are reasonable.
Assist with the identification and implementation of process related improvements.
Ensure compliance with Group practices and timelines.
Assist the Head of Actuarial Function through regular reporting and review of results.
Collaborate with business to resolve any matters arising from the quarterly valuations, e.g. the need to re-price products.
